01 Feb NEW CARTIER OCEANIA FLAGSHIP
I’m thrilled and excited to share my latest news.
Cartier has officially opened the doors to their new Flagship Boutique at 388 George St, Sydney. The boutique embodies Parisian elegance while paying tribute to Australia’s rich culture, natural beauty, and community.
“Locally made: Inside Cartier’s spell-binding new Oceania flagship. For its new Oceania flagship in Sydney, Cartier tapped Australian artisans for several major — and stunning — commissions.
“THINK GLOBAL, act local,” is Cartier’s new mantra for the design of its international boutiques. The jewellery brand’s 749-square-metre, two-storey Oceania flagship, which opened on the corner of Sydney’s King and George Streets on November 16, ups the ante on this concept. It boasts one of the highest levels of local customisation of any of Cartier’s 273 boutiques worldwide. Not only are 80 percent of the materials locally sourced but also showcased throughout is the work of local artisans and myriad references to Australia’s landscape, flora, and fauna.” Harpers Bazaar by Patty Huntington … and I’m very proud to be one of the textile designers included in this interior masterpiece.
I enjoyed the opportunity to work with the Parisian Interior design team at Moinard Betaille which designs all the Cartier Boutique interiors around the world.
